Zombie Outbrick: Episode 60

blockcomics
6th Aug 2012, 12:19 AM

While Chris may not agree with the Policeman's view of human life, he can agree on at least one point...

I took about 6 different versions of the last panel when I was shooting this episode - I finally chose the one that shows everyone looking at Chris. His curiosity and concern have kept the group here, but now he's ready to move on.

You may notice that the standard ComicFury "author comments" for Zombie Outbrick have now been reformatted to be more of a description of the episode, than an actual comment. Also, take a look at the brand new buttons under "Connect with Zombie Outbrick," to the right - you'll find linked buttons for Facebook, Flickr, and ComicFury, all of which light up when you mouse over them!

This should hopefully make it easier for readers to - well, connect with Zombie Outbrick. ;)

As always, let me know what you think of this episode, as well as the new episode description format.

Oh snap, since they've been in the building so long, I assume there would be at least a small horde of the undead waiting just around the corner. Again, it's good to see that the tension has settled for the time being. Nice episode!

Thanks, Oonie!

There very well could be a horde of walking corpses just around the corner - we'll have to see!

And yeah, it seems like Chris understands now that this isn't really the time for arguing.

I'm glad you like the episode!

Hopefully next panel or two shows us with more zombie lovin' carnage?

It looks like someone's unsubscribed from Zombie Outbrick - if that person is still around, was that an accident?

Thank you, budgie!

And that's great, I'm glad you've decided to take the first step on your journey to having a brick comic! I look forward to seeing the first page of Takedown. Feel free to ask if you need any advice about the comic-making process.

I checked your ComicFury profile, and I saw that the description of your comic is a little vague. Your comic is certainly likely to go farther and be more meaningful if you plan out your story (and where it will go) a little bit, before you actually start making comics.

Anyway, I wish you luck on your brick comic-making endeavors!

And I'm glad you can't wait for the next episodes of Zombie Outbrick, if all goes well they shouldn't be too far away. ;)

You're welcome, I always like to see new brick comics starting up.

And it's alright to have a vague description, especially if you don't want to give anything away. I was just a little worried, because I've seen quite a few brick comics without thought out plots before - I just wanted to make sure, is all.

From what you've told me, it sounds like you have thought out your story pretty well - and I like that twist. If you wanted to go a step further with your story (if you haven't already), you could write out a script with everything you need to show (including the dialogue) in each panel for each of your comic pages. It's really helped me to have a script to work from.

I'll be glad to give whatever advice you need. Good luck with building your sets. (By the way, it's a good idea to try to make your sets out of solid colors as much as possible.)

Alright - why do people keep unsubscribing from Zombie Outbrick on ComicFury? Is it by accident? Have I done something wrong?

Two people have now unsubscribed since 12:00AM on Monday morning. If you want to be subscribed to ZO, or thought you already were, it might be a good idea to check if you still are.

If you're still around and have purposely unsubscribed, would you mind telling me why?

I'm still subscribed, I promise! But you know, it could be that people unregistered from CF or something. *I* certainly don't see any reason why someone would unsubscribe.

And personally, I'd be glad to have two subscribers to lose.

Hah, I know you are, Joel, and I appreciate that. :)

And people unregistering from ComicFury in general is certainly a possiblity - although I've figure out who one of the unsubscribers is, and it looks like that person's account is still around (I've sent that person a PM, as well.)

As for having more subscribers to your comic, I think if you continue to update, and continue to make little improvements here and there, and put yourself out there a little bit, I'm sure you will one day.

Still subscribed.

I wouldn't know why people have unsubscribed.

The closest theories or guesses I have would be maybe they have the site bookmarked and don't feel they need to subscribe. Or maybe they've unsubscribed due to the summer and they plan to be away... or they're loosing internet and don't expect to be around a while. Who knows.

I know you are, Silver Fox, thanks. :)

And your guess is as good as mine. For whatever reason, I still don't understand why someone would actually take the time to actually unsubscribe, and not just leave things the way they are.

Oh well, it's just too bad, I suppose.

Ok, so I'm back and reading again. I'm guessing some of the next panels will be of them running.
