As it turns out, that man wasn't a zombie after all. He was just a regular guy, bleeding to death, looking for help.
(I think there's some irony in the fact that as I write this author comment, by random chance I am listening to Daft Punk's "Human After All.")
It seems that this police officer may be a problem, if he keeps shooting people. Why is he so quick to draw his gun? You'll see.
What does everyone think of this episode? Were you surprised?
And what do you think of the blood effects in panel 5? (I know they're not as spectacular as the infamous headshot of Episode 15... ;) ) If you notice, I'm also trying out something new with the gun sound effects.
I just entered a zombie MOC-building contest run by bricks of the dead. I built a pretty expanisve scene, with lots and lots of zombies...
Check out this blog post for more information!
Feel free to leave comments about my zombie MOC on Flickr, or in the comments here.
Ouch! Poor guy! I like the effects. It' really helps get eh point across. :)
Yeah, today certainly isn't his lucky day...
I'm glad you like the effects! I think the new font for the "Bang!" sound effect fits the story much better than the old one (as seen in episode 15), wouldn't you agree?
Thanks, Doctor N!
I actually had to remake that muzzle flash 3 times before I was satisfied with it. ;)
Hah, yeah, I guess they did listen! ;)
(Although things had been this way in the script for about a week.)
And yes, it is too bad that, like the characters, you thought that guy was a zombie.
you know after watching Troy,
the officer is probably trying to put the poor guy out of his misery or he is a gun weilding mainiac!
Hah, I haven't seen Troy.
But we'll have to see what the policeman's motives are in the next few episodes... ;)
Yeah, the font for "Bang" is far better then episode 15, as are the muzzle and blood effects.
Now, unless the officer starts speaking now that he knows something... he should do it very soon before too long and creates distrust from the others. Unless he and Karen are quickly putting 2 & 2 together = Zombie Apocalypse.
Thanks Silver Fox, I'm glad you think so!
And you may very well be on the right track about the officer... ;)
Wow, I didn't expect that. Maybe the officer's a bad guy or just scared. I would shoot him too if he was bleeding. I mean, the previous guy was bleeding and attacked him.
Wait a minute, why was that guy even bleeding? If he's not a zombie, then why was he bleeding? Unless he got...
BITTEN!! (dun!dun!duuuun!)
I thought people would be surprised!
And as for the bleeding, you never know. Mr. Ashford did shoot at least 2 people in the hallway before he got to the Boss's office...
