And so we learn why Karen was shocked...
Sometimes the best thing for a very stressed and shell-shocked person is to try to return to routine, as if their day-to-day concerns will continue to be important...
In most cases, this proves to be true, but what about Karen's situation?
Happy Halloween!
This episode is not necessarily a Halloween "special," as the story continues normally.
However, you may notice that 3 very appropriate movies are playing at the movie theater in the news footage... ;)

The change in scenery in this episode to the conference room again required painstaking recreation, based on reference photos... It took a while to even figure out where I had the television mounted on the wall, then I had to find (or assemble) all of the chairs around the conference table, and I also had to find the misplaced TV remote... Then there was the placement of everything to figure out...
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this episode! Let me know what you think.

Who says there's not a zombie off-camera, headed directly toward the unsuspecting cameraman? ;)

wow, this is really anticlimatic, eveyone was expecting a zombie! ;)
still, I like the episode, especially the posters in the background, the monsters are from LEGO minifigures right?

I'm glad you like the posters though! As I said in my author comment, all 3 monsters are collectible minifigs.

Hah, I almost didn't catch "Howloween!"
I was hoping someone would notice the monsters in the crowd of zombies! I'm glad you noticed them.
And if you take a look at the Halloween blog post, all 3 posters are there; click on them, and it'll bring you to their Flickr versions. ;)
And one of those zombies is Dave from Bricks of the Dead! He's one of the zombies I created for my entry in the BotD Freeform Challenge. I said at one point on the BotD website that "I'd definitely use him in the next zombie crowd scene," and so I snuck him in here.
It seems nothing can slip by you unnoticed!
Anyway, I'm glad you like this episode, despite the anticlimax.

If you check out the Halloween blog post, you can click on each poster to see it on Flickr. You can print them out from there, if you want. (You may have to resize them yourself.)
I did print out some perfectly LEGO-sized versions, but ended up Photoshopping in the posters instead... So maybe later on, I could send you the printable LEGO-sized versions. (Or make them available on this site! ;) )

Thanks! It really has grown a lot since its humble beginnings. It's been a very gratifying experience to watch it getting bigger and bigger as time goes on.
I only wish it were a bit bigger; then you really would get a prize... ;)

Haha, I was thinking more along the lines of Zombie Outbrick becoming widely-read enough to make some revenue with sidebar ads, to actually fund a small prize...

Love the posters and the custom zombie heads. Where dis you get the head for the lady in the Dracula poster and the zombie heads? Did you make them?

Thanks! I'm rather proud of them, myself! ;)
The zombie heads I made myself; they were designed in Photoshop, then printed on regular paper and applied with gluestick.
As for the lady in the Dracula poster, I cheated with her a bit! ;) It was that "smiling reporter" head, that I believe comes in some of the newer Alien Attack sets. I heavily Photoshopped it after taking the pictures, though.
