At least the group has made some sort of decision together... But will they even make it out of the building?
I'd like to apologize for missing Friday's episode entirely. To make up for it, I will (most likely, if all goes according to plan) release 2 episodes at once this Friday to make up for it.
I know updates have been rough recently, so thank you for bearing with me.

NEVER go for the elevators! They may be faster, but in a situation like this, they're the most tempermental and most likely means of transportation to break down, go dark, and snap and plummet however-many-stories to the floor before exploding in a cloud of bricks.
Stairs are by far much safer.

Hah, that may be good advice for our characters, here, Puckette!
Although, stairs are only safer if there isn't a floor full of zombies between the one you're on, and the ground floor... Or if something isn't blocking the stairs... ;)

True. Although, it might be even worse to run into a bunch of zombies in the stairwell, with no elevator door to protect you...

I think going to the elevators is a good idea. I mean, what if they got inside the building? What are the chances of find of, like, a horde of them by the stairs?
Then again, what are the chances of them going to the elevator to find a horde of them waiting there?

Well, most elevators probably couldn't fit an entire horde inside... And if there was a horde outside the elevator at the bottom, at least they could close the doors before the horde notices.

Hah, perhaps not! Although, this isn't quite a normal emergency... An earthquake, tornado, hurricane, or flood are all likely to knock the power out... But strange riots in the streets don't generally cause power outages right away. ;)

Why aren't they thinkning this through? They only have 2 weapons between them, each with only a few bullets. Why don't they gather weapons?
This brings up another good point in comparing your comic and BOTD. BoTD just started out right away, the characters knew it was a zombie outbreak, they knew what to do. In this comic, it's taken about 40 or so comics for the inkling of zombies occurs to them. I like this. It exemplifies the uncertainty that would be rampant in the beginnings of this sort of thing. It's the sort of thing I never see in BoTD. Nicely done.

I'm glad you like the attempt at realism!
For a moment, I was worried that you were genuinely complaining about the slow pace.
It's a huge compliment to compare Zombie Outbrick to Bricks of the Dead and say that you like ZO better in some way! I have to agree with you - while BotD is a fantastic comic, the beginning does get itself out of the way fairly quickly.

I like how in this comic the characters are genuinly scared, in other zombie movies/comics as soon as the characters see the first zombie they just whip out a handy machine gun and start shooting zombie after zombie. This is much more real to life in sooo many ways.

Thanks Brickyman! It's good to hear that the thought I try to put into realism in this comic has payed off.
I really can't stand when characters in this sort of story are flat and unbelievable. It seems that sometimes writers overlook the panic and chaos any disaster will cause. (I'm on the East Coast, and that earthquake we had a while back caused quite a stir - although it only lasted a few seconds, and caused minimal damage.)

Yeah, there's no telling whether the elevators will actually work properly... ;) And the building of the elevator should certainly be interesting...

Hah, they certainly do! All characters so far, except for Karen, have custom torso designs printed on printer paper and applied with washable gluestick.
