Zombie Outbrick: Episode 62

20th Aug 2012, 12:00 AM

Chris, the Boss, Officer Peterson, and Karen have made it to the elevator - but they're not safe yet...

This episode would've been out sooner, but preparing for my vacation got in the way more than I thought it would. I fortunately was able to finish it, but wasn't able to upload it for a while.

You can see more of the elevator exterior set I've made in this episode - what does everyone think of it? I ended up trying quite a few options for the elevator button before I was satisfied.

Let me know what you think of this episode!

Congratz, you've figured out the secret. Pressing the button more than three times makes it move faster. ;D

Haha! That actually made me laugh!

It may not really help, but if I was ever stuck between a rock and a hard place (or rather a zombie and an elevator), I certainly wouldn't stand around waiting for very long. ;)

Funny how that seems to be the case, a matter of life and death depending on an elevator. It would be funny if people had the exact same dilema on another floor XD "Oh mu gosh, we just killed the guys on the fourth floor!"
Anyways, nobody thinks to just tackle the zombie? I mean, all you have to do is shove him down, but avoid their bite (unless they're really aggressive, but still).
All in all, good episode, wonder if a dead guy will fall out of the elevator like in the beginning of TWD!

Hah, that'd be hilarious, in a grim sort of way!

And I don't know about you, but if a walking corpse was coming at me, I don't think the first thing to come to mind would be to tackle it... ;) And if the elevator is coming soon, then killing him might not be necessary if they can escape in time.

I'm glad you like the episode! And we'll have to see about that. ;)

Somewhat off schedule, but it reminds me of an article I read on the dangers of escalators... someone should make a zombie movie/scene where the zombies get caught on the escalator and "chewed" up by it.

That'd be very interesting. I've certainly seen some creative zombie deaths before, and that'd be one of the more believable ones. (I once saw a zombie in one movie get impaled on - of all things - a traffic cone...)

I might have to use that idea, if these guys ever find their way to a mall. ;)

OOh very nice build there with the elevator! :3 Also, don't they know that you're supposed to take the stairs in the event of an emergency? I can't wait to see what happens next!

Thanks MadameLecter! :)

And haha, I actually thought of that after I'd written and shot this episode -but maybe the stairs are out of order...;)

HOLY HELL! That's one fast elevator.

I wonder if anybody, or anything, is in the elevator already.

It's pretty fast for an elevator - it did take a full six panels to get to the fourth floor. But don't forget, the door still hasn't opened.

And we'll have to see - hopefully it's empty, and doesn't get stuck or anything. ;)

Aha!! I knew it would be worth it! I practically gave up on this comic when I checked a week afterward the guest week and it was still on the big scifi mishmash guest strip. But I think that you got me back now! I just hope you can get a regular buffer in!;)

I was starting to have those same thoughts, then I started playing multiplayer on CODMW3 again, and almost forgot about this comic. Glad I didn't though! :)

Sometimes, this comic seems dead - but if you don't watch carefully you might not notice as it rises again. (Although unlike with actual zombies, it's a good thing for the comic. ;) )

If I was ever going to permanently stop making Zombie Outbrick, even if I couldn't find time to make new episodes, I would still make an announcement about it on the home page or blog. (But that's not likely to happen anytime soon.)

I'm sorry I kept you guys waiting for a while, but I'm glad you didn't give up on Zombie Outbrick!

It's cool

It's cool man, frankly, I think you have gotten a lot further in your story than I would've had I been in charge of it.

Just to clarify

22nd Aug 2012, 10:32 PM

Just to clarify, I am in no way saying anything wrong.

Haha, yeah L3monm4n, it's actually amazing to think that I've kept this up (to some extent) for more than a year, now. I know what you mean, and I appreciate the compliment.
